2 Day Senior Lead Training for International Schools Timing Sessions run: 7.30am-2pm London UK Time 10.30am-5pm Dubai time (GST) This course is designed to support Senior Leaders in embedding trauma-informed and mentally healthy approaches across their school communities. Trauma Informed Schools UK (TISUK) recognises the vital role Senior Leaders play in shaping school culture, staff wellbeing and emotionally safe learning environments. This training provides leaders with the knowledge, understanding and practical strategies needed to implement sustainable whole-school approaches that support both student and staff wellbeing. Delegates will gain evidence-informed, practical approaches to supporting emotional regulation, relational practice, inclusion and readiness to learn across the school community. The course also provides a strategic overview of the TISUK Diploma in Trauma and Mental Health Informed Schools and Communities (Practitioner Status), enabling Senior Leaders to effectively support practitioners within their setting and develop a consistent whole-school approach to wellbeing and mental health. The training aims to positively impact pupils, staff and the wider school community by strengthening psychologically safe, relational and mentally healthy cultures for all. The innovative relational, regulatory and reflective approaches shared throughout the course are informed by over 1,000 evidence-based studies in neuroscience, psychology and child development, alongside the work of leading psychologists and educators.

We will be hosting a TISCUK National INSET Day Whole Staff Training which welcomes staff from all setting's including schools, charities and community organisations and is perfect for new staff member and thos wishing to refresh their knowledge. For: All welcome - professionals, volunteers, community workers and parents Cost: £49 per person, small staff groups £449, whole staff teams £995 (no VAT) TISCUK recognises the importance of the commitment and determination of the whole staff team to fully embed any approach or cultural change. The Whole Staff Training is designed to support whole setting implementation of trauma informed and mentally healthy practices into schools and organisations, ensuring that staff have the knowledge, skills and understanding to optimise the well-being of both adults and children/young people in their school/setting. Delegates will learn key relational approaches and interventions to positively impact the whole school/setting culture. The training is available as a 3 or 6 hour session. The full day session offers more opportunity to explore practical skills and experiential learning.  The optional 3 hour Part 2 training builds on the previous learning and is designed to be delivered two terms after Part 1. The focus is on relational skills for staff and implementation, and you will gain deeper insight into key skills and practical strategies for developing positive relationships with children and young people.

With a focus on building strong, respectful relationships, this session offers practical tools for creating inclusive environments where every student feels a sense of belonging, connection, and value. Rather than managing behaviour through control, participants will explore how to respond to challenges with curiosity, care, and consistency by fostering accountability, empathy, and mutual respect. Grounded in global pedagogy and informed by research, the course ignites reflection on the role of identity, language, and culture in relational dynamics. Through reflective dialogue and hands-on strategies, educators will leave with a strengthened relational toolkit and a clearer vision for cultivating trust and inclusion in their context. This interactive masterclass will support participants with the legal knowledge, practical tools and confidence to proactively prevent sexual harassment, respond appropriately to concerns, and foster a respectful, safe and inclusive workplace culture. It reflects the significant shift in UK law from reactive handling to active prevention, tightening employer accountability and increasing legal and reputational risk for inaction. This masterclass supports participants to understand their responsibilities under the Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, now in force, which places a proactive duty on employers to take “reasonable steps” to prevent sexual harassment before it happens. It also prepares organisations for the further strengthening of the law under the Employment Rights Act 2025, including new whistleblowing protections for sexual harassment from April 2026 and the shift to a higher standard of “all reasonable steps” from October 2026. These changes significantly increase employer accountability, including reputational risk and potential financial penalties for non compliance. By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to: Understand the legal duties placed on employers by the Worker Protection Act 2023 and the Employment Rights Act 2025. Explain introduction of Whistleblowing Protections for sexual harassment and the shift from “reasonable steps” to “all reasonable steps” in preventing sexual harassment. Recognise different forms of sexual harassment, including third party harassment (suppliers, contractors, visitors). Identify early warning signs of inappropriate behaviour and cultural risk. Implement proactive, preventative measures to reduce harassment risk. Respond appropriately and confidently to disclosures and complaints. Understand the consequences of non compliance. Promote a culture of respect, accountability and inclusive behaviours. Evaluate current workplace practices and identify practical improvements. Apply learning to real world scenarios and leadership decision.

Building and Strengthening Relationships Through Peace Circles This immersive session introduces primary school staff to Peacemakers’ interactive approach to circle time. It introduces circle pedagogy, inclusive activities, explores ways to support social and emotional development, and turns learning into practical, purposeful action. Through our work in hundreds of primary schools, we've learned that it's not just what you teach – it's how you teach it. Peace education delivered in an authoritarian way would undermine its own message. What's needed instead are participative, democratic approaches where children and adults genuinely share the space. Circles are central to our practice. Used by communities across cultures for centuries, circle time creates a space where every voice is heard — including those of quieter or more marginalised children. Passing a talking piece around the circle ensures no one is talked over. Circles can balance power, build empathy, and shift the classroom dynamic in ways that ripple out into the rest of the school day. Within a circle, there's room for games, role play, group and paired discussion, and drama — approaches that children find engaging and memorable.
